Dozens of nonprofit professionals working for member employers of 501(c) Agencies Trust have been selected for scholarships to participate in a new e-course for nonprofit supervisors.
The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance (NLA), in partnership with 501(c) Services (administrator of 501(c) Agencies Trust), this summer launched Effective Staff Supervision in Nonprofit Organizations, a new dynamic and engaging certification offered to nonprofit supervisors. The course is part of the NLA’s industry leading Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential and can be taken as a stand-alone certificate.
As part of 501(c) Agencies Trust’s mission to provide top-shelf educational opportunities to its membership, the Trust provided a 95 percent scholarship to over 30 member employees through a lottery.
“I am excited,” said Sara Pickens, HR Specialist with Hospice of North Idaho after hearing about her selection for Effective Staff Supervision. “We really appreciate all the educational opportunities [501(c) Agencies Trust] offers to nonprofits.”
Effective Staff Supervision in Nonprofit Organizations is an online e-certificate program focused on building both the hard and soft skills needed for effective staff supervision. The certificate focuses on topics such as risk mitigation; hiring best practices; interviewing like a pro; delegation; employee recruitment, retention and engagement; team building; and recognition. The eight-week course will be offered at least once per year. Enrollment costs $600 with discounts available for clients of 501(c) Services and members of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. The first session is scheduled to begin September 24, 2018.
